The vaunted Jolly Tiger. It does have beautiful leaves. No fruit yet from this one either but wow those leaves! Only has one rival for beautiful leaves, see Ice Crystal.

Hello Ichodalot,welcome to the forum. I see you are a brand new member. New memebers often start out requesting cuttings, but most of us make it a practice to get to know you for a while before sending you anything. I have a long waiting list for cuttings for this tree and usually members offer me something in return, like a cutting of another highly desireable fig. As you can see JT demands a very high price, so cuttings are rare as the demand is so great. I'm sorry to say there are many in line ahead of you. Stick around and get to know everone, perhaps you can get started with a more common variety. 

The leaves on the Jolly Tiger are lovely.  I may have to add that one to my wishlist.

Yes I'm new to figs. Im from texas! My grand parents have a tree. They were fresh and tasted great!  I don't have anything to offer except self pollinating almond tree ( had for 1.5 year alond tend to burn in Texas heat), jasmine plant, curry leaf plant. I just purchased a Celeste but I know it's a common tree only paid $11 including shipping. But I will stick around as I'm still learnIng more about fig. I even tried to clone one my cousin owns but that failed. So had to buy that one!

Well I won't hold that against you Ichodalot, I guess some things in Texas are ok lol. Celeste produces very sweet figs, usually kinda small but very tasty. There is a plethora of advice on rooting cuttings dormant and green. Just do a search of the forum and you will find lots of techniques. Good luck with your new tree.

I won't put it on my wish list however - the more experienced fig collectors (or those who want to spend the big bucks on ebay) can go for it.

A beautiful tree BLB!!! I myself would love a Jolly Tiger but I'll wait a while till I know more about what I'm doing with figs before I attempt to propagate one or buy one being that they are so well coveted among the fig community. I have rooted a celeste cutting already and waited very patiently for almost a month for some showing of roots, my girlfriend said "no way that's going to grow." Well I proved her wrong and I have roots!!!! I must say that I have been bitten by the fig bug and I am very excited about making it happen. I do have to thank everyone on this forum who has posted any and all info as I have been reading and reading post's late into the night. Thank you again forum posters!!!

How common is a fig tree in India? I know someone there with a fig tree
