Jolly Tiger fig

  • ank

Hello,
I am looking for this fig and wandering if anyone have it for sale.   Can someone who has this fig give me a little bit more information on this variety please.  Does it loose  it's variegation  when tree matures?
Thank you all in advance for your time.

I think there is still only one option for this one. $90 for a plant in a 3" pot. I'll get one at some point, but I am waiting on the price to drop a bit on this one.

I have this fig, obtained it in a trade with a friend who sells plants and purhcased it from Asiatica. Currently I only have 2 cuttings and both are spoken for, but hope to have more as the plant matures. I've had it now for a year. It has very cool looking variegated leaves, very pronounced. No fruit yet, but I'm told the fruit is also vaiegated. I have no idea of fruit quality. Typical of variegated plants each leaf is different with some nearly all variegated, some only partially and a occassionally a solid green.

Thank you JSVAND5,  I got one from them and the plant was healthy but small it will take a long time to see any results.

BLB... when plant gets bigger does variegation goes away? Do you see it on all the branches? How big are your trees and can you post or send me some pictures, I would love to see it.  Thanks every one for the information.

Hi Ank,

The variegation has not gone away, in fact it is very prominent. Each branch has variegation. I can actually see a bit of variegation in portions of the stem as well. My tree is probably about 4 feet tall. I just pinched the tips to increase branching, so it is not as full looking as it was a day or so ago.  I am not much with a camera and not sure how to upload pics on this site, but will do so if I can get the hang of it. Probably have to get my kids to help me!! LOL

Hello Everyone, Does anyone have this Jolly Tiger
Fig Tree for sale, If so please send me an e-mail.
Thank You , Debbie

asiatic nursery is out of business, evidently (as per the website)
