Jolly Tiger question

Here's a picture of my Jolly Tiger I had to cut off about 3 or 4 side limbs that were turning all green now I notice that all the top leaves are turning all green I've been plucking off leaves as you can see in the picture but I think I am loosing the battle what do I have to do to keep the tree variegated? Cut the top of the tree off???

Dave, I believe this plant is a chimera, two different cell populations in one plant. I would think cutting back to a level of mixed color would result in sprouting mixed color laterals. The paler population in a chimera has less chlorophyll, makes less food, and can lose in competition with the greener population.

Yea, what pawpawbill said. Cut off the green leaf BRANCHES.

I kind of knew that I had to amputate that the top section it just kills me to keep hacking away at this tree like I said I had to take allot of side limbs off but I guess it is what needs to be done
