Jon's Fig number 540 - anyone know what it is?

The link at the bottom left of the F4F home page doesn't give me any results.  Any help would be appreciated.  :)

The best way is to go back to your original email ordering the cuttings.

[E: Jon is probably trying to save big time/effort by marking

the cuttings with only the Accession# (rather than the full name)].

If it is not there, it could be a substitute?

Go back to that Word file that you originally ordered the cuttings from.

Then do a (top right corner) Find "540".

I came up with:

540          G-27

[E: I see a problem if the Word file is/was modified;

e.g., by removing the NoLongerAvailable from the list]

Then verify the Accession#/Name and get more details from the data base:

P.S.

For your other 2017 request mentioned in another thread I get:

2017        Normans Yellow RR

Thanks!  Anyone know much about this fig?

Jon,

Does your fig DataBase have any "search" engine?

If not; it would be nice to add a simple one.

For example I was checking if you have the "Zadar" fig.

(So that I would send you a piece if not).

It is not under "Z".

Then by accident; I saw it under "B" with the true name "Black Zadar".

(BTW, it is missing from the left-side-list).

A simple Search for keyword "Zadar" would have been great!

I also had a similar difficulty finding "Fico Zana"; by looking only for "Zana".

Speaking of the Zana (mystery!?) fig; what is the difference between

FICAZANA and FICO ZANA?

There is a Google search box at the lower left of the Figs 4 Fun home page. it has been there for 2-3 years.

Yes, some of the left hand indexes have not yet been updated to show all the new varieties which have been added.

Yes, the #s on the cutting tags should correspond to the Availability List and to each persons order, which they sent in, which also listed the accession numbers. Numbers starting with 3001 and above are not shown in the data base, but are shown on the availability list. In a few cases cuttings from identical trees were substituted under their own numbers, and those numbers will be found in the Availability List.

Aha!

Now I know exactly what Jon and rcantor were talking about the

"Google custom search" in the other thread.

But it does Not work for me either...

Besides Jon; did anyone have success with it?

If so, what's the trick(s)?

I see one problem. It works in Firefox, but NOT in Internet Explorer. Go Microsoft!

Yep!

It worked with both Firefox and Chrome.

It is a great useful tool, now that I know how to use it.

Does not work with IE.

It must have something to do with Microsoft disliking  competitors.

Both my Chrome (p/o Google) and Firefox (p/o Monzilla) browser

programs were recently deleted (twice!) by my (suspect) MS Windows 7.

Glad for the confirmation. To bad for IE users, I guess. The HTML for the link comes from directly from Google.

Does that google search in the forum also?
