Jon's stolen Galbun pic - eBay

Wow!  How do we stop these people!  Somebody with photoshop needs to help John put watermarks on his photos!

Suzi

That's just great, I just bought the cuttings. I asked him where he got the fig and he replied he's been collecting for years. I just hope I didn't get brown turkey lol.

Lol.. :) Howie, I do hope you get the kind that was promised. My first fig purchase on eBay was some fig seeds described as dwarf kind. The seeds were finer than sands and, as suspected, not a single one of them sprouted. Since then I only buy figs on eBay from well known members of this forum or if the seller is recommended by forum members.

All of his pictures are like that, looks like he uses an Iphone for his ebay postings. Good luck, how many of us were sold Brown turkey expecting Chicago hardy?

Don't beat yourself up too bad Howie.  I just don't like supporting those who take others photos for their personal gain.  I hope the cuttings turn out to be what they are suppose to be!

Jon and talked about people stealing photos when we were in UCD this year.  Trust me, he will read this post and contact eBay about this guy.  It's terrible but people will do anything to make a buck.

Howie73,
you could report the item "not as described". As there are specific varieties that look distinctly different you can file a report to ebay letting them know that the photo does not refer to the actual item on sale and you found out that is your friend's copyrighted image. That could be a good deterrent for the seller, as he may have to issue a refund for the item sold.

There is another fig seed seller on eBay right now if you want those rare and unusual figs from Canada.
