Jungle Jims

Jungle Jim's in Fairfield OH.

Very nice store.   On the inside of the store there is so much to see for the foodies out there.

On the fig side of things there were tons of Fig plants.  Most I've ever seen for sale at one spot.

However.   They are all labeled Brown Turkey.  No kidding!

Didn't buy any of them.   There were 4-5 leaf patterns.  Some with 3 different patterns in one pot growing off three separate sticks/stems.   $24.99 for a 2 gl.  Not a horrible deal if you don't mind unknowns.    To me they look like Brown Turkey, Celeste, VDB, Honey, Brunswick.  Maybe a Hardy Chicago?   Didn't get photos of all the leaf patterns though.

Also, Right in the front of the store is a huge 10' fig planted in a big bath tub or old hot tub thing.

Enjoy.

Forgot to add the photos.  It's late.

Thanks for Posting the Photos......I love seeing a lot of Fig Plants....

I love Jungle Jim's! I used to live in Batavia and would make the drive across town (which in Cincinnati is more than a small jaunt), just to shop there. That place rocks!

I would have purchased a couple and sent them to San Diego.

Great nursery !

I wish, that we had a Jungle Jim's here, in eastern N.C.
I used to shop that Fairfield store.  Fred

Fred, I miss a lot about Cincinnati, but Jungle Jim's is by far the thing my wife and I most wish we had here in NC. That place has just about any wine, beer, cheese, produce or foreign product you could want. And if they don't have it, they'll order it for you. Just nothing else like it.

Yes, they beat most places I've ever been.   My wife and I are both foodies and we were so overwhelmed all I could get was a bag of Chia seeds.   If its a food someone makes, they have it. We were on vacation and it was so hot, we couldn't buy any perishables.

I used to make the trip over there when I lived in Amelia.  Cools stuff.
