Just a little bragging:)

Here are a few pictures of my garden this year.  Of course the star is my in ground fig tree!

The last 2 years have been horrible garden years for me, I needed a good season and I think I have one!  We have had a good amount of rain, but not enough to drown everything like last year.  I even have figs on the trees in pots - they are cuttings from 3 years ago that have been neglected and dare I say abused.

The cuttings I rooted this year were doing very well until my job became incredibly busy.  I didn't get to pot them in a timely manner - they had molded with roots, I potted them anyway to no avail.  I still have some cuttings from my tree in the fridge - I'll give it another go.

I have harvested the spaghetti squash but have not cooked it yet, eaten a lot of Swiss chard, getting a bunch of tomatoes, and a few peppers.  The Brussels sprouts are not putting out Brussels sprouts!  First time growing them, the beets are looking real good and so are the onions.  Green bean are growing but not producing the way I was hoping (Kentucky Wonder), the yellow wax beans are not doing well at all.  Herbs - sage and lavender are growing too well!!

The fig tree has grown more then I would have hoped for, or guessed!  There are a lot of figs on it also.  I keep seeing more figs on the newer growth and getting fairly excited about it :)

Soon I will take pictures of the trees I have in pots.  Some have a fig on them for the first time.  Hopefully I could get some ID's on them since my markings have worn off - do to neglect.  In my defense I have had a rough 2 years so don't judge me too harshly;)

Lovely garden.  I like how everything is mixed together.

Nice Garden! Why has your Tomato plants have yellow leaves?

Hello JoAnn

The LSU Purple cuttings I have from you are growing strong with lots of roots.  I wonder if I can get some figs this year at all.

Your landscape is quite interesting will all the vegetables in the mix.  I have a fig tree in the front yard - I am thinking of growing some herbs around the trunk.

Beautiful and you have more tomatoes than I do.

Gosh darn, you guys in Texas are so far ahead of us in New England. I'm about as green as your garden with envy just looking at your pictures. Looks great.

Very nice.  Are those Matt's Wild Cherry tomatoes in the second to last picture?

JoAnn, your garden is lovely. I have yet to plant mu spaghetti squash. I have honey dew melon going though!! My tiny Hawaiian Solo papaya trees are looking very good now! Love this time of year :-)

Lovely garden, that rose bush looks interesting. I recently purchased a Rose du Roi which should have similar colored flowers. Which variety is your large fig tree?

Thanks everyone!  I really needed a nice garden this year.

Why are tomato leaves yellow?  We have had a lot of rain! The rain stopped, I didn't water for 3 days, now they are brown:(  But!!  They are still growing:)

I think the variety is Sun Gold, I also have Sweet 100 and I think Yellow Pear.  I have 10 plant! 4 on the trellis, I have 2 in pots, then I got carried away and added 4 more to the garden in cages and 1 is staked.

I went easy with the rose bushes and have 3 Knockouts.  I trimmed them in February down to about a foot tall, now they are about 3 1/2 and need trimming again!

The fig tree is LSU Purple and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!  I think it is about 10' tall now and maybe 10-12' wide.  I just hope the critters let me have some also

It's really starting to heat up so the tomatoes don't have much longer - I am enjoying them while I can!  I still have the herbs, eggplant, peppers and a few other things.  I'll be pulling the onions, beets and the Brussels sprouts (that was a dud)

DaveL - we had no winter this year!  Barely got cold and the transplants were in the nurseries in February.  So I took the plunge and got everything in early.  The tree was leafing out by the end of February, put the onion sets in and  a week later the tomatoes and did a bunch of pots.  We did get some wild hail at the end of March, thankfully the garden didn't suffer from it.

I'd love to see pictures of other gardens out there!

Nice garden! I too have cuttings from you. I had a hard time rooting them, they took awhile, but did root. I kept a couple plants. Still small. No figs this year. Which is fine many are giving me figs. I also grow tomatoes. I will always grow tomatoes. I have Marseille VS Black, and LSU Scott's Black, 2nd leaf, I may be able to take a few cuttings this winter to repay you back. Here is MBVS, not the best picture, in a container. that is a Carmine Jewel Bush cherry behind it, also in a container.

Drew the tree looks great!  All of the trees I started this year didn't make it.  The others I have are doing well - now that I planted them in decent sized containers lol lol

Oops, looks like I'm late to the party.

Nice garden, Jo-Ann, you always have such a nice garden.

Here are my 2 fig trees given to me as side suckers to plant in 2014. I live in notthern Indiana so winter them in unheated garage.
Nor sure what kind they are.
Last year several figs were on the trees but only two ripened in mid October. Here are photos of the potted trees and figlets so far.
I have pinched off new leaf buds and have forced figlets. Unable to upload photos
