Just ate 3 ripe figs, and they were surprisingly good. But then it's been a warm, sunny winter here. Feels close to 80*F now.

I had one each of Fico Preto (fair).  Vista and Col de Dame Blanc - both of these were excellent especially for January. Both red inside and jammy sweet. Yum. A very pleasant surprise. Most of the late figs that have ripened have not been this good.

Aww...Gina stop teasing us! You have to at least give us a picture to look at so we can imagine how it tastes. This is just like rubbing salt in our cold semi frozen wounds.

CdDB is one of those that's knock out from the very first fig.

You are so lucky to have fresh figs while up in Canada we are shivering in -25C.  But to make the most of it I had 2 (frozen) figs in my smoothie this morning!
