Do tell !!

Now that you know how can you share this info with the rest of us?

i use picasa tool. if you have google account, you can generate picasa album on the web.

http://picasaweb.google.com

once you are there, you choose to picture to edit. click on "actions", from the drop down, choose "edit in creative kit". this takes you to new screen.

you can do all sorts of things.

click on "text". choose font, and text you want on the picture.. edit on the new pop up box.. save it and you can download to do what you normally do at the forum.

I can also do it in the 'zoom browser' that came with my little Canon point and shoot. Click on 'edit', then on 'insert text', and go from there. It gives you a variety of colors and scripts.

Very cool.

If I could just figure out how to post pics, maybe I'd try that out...:-(

Centurion post "New " thread -  " How do i post pictures"

This way all the answers wont clutter this particular thread.

state what type of operatiing system you use such as Windows XP etc for simple picture resizing etc.
and many will share there expereince on how to and walk you through it.

Most pics are too large to post here, but here are a couple.   Now if I can just figure out how to reduce the size of my fig pics so I can post some of those...

http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ it takes a little time but t works

centurion,

great, now it's working :)

i think picasa also has resizing tool. only thing with resizing is, once it's been shrunk down, you won't be able to get back to original size. you want to make a back up before playing with the picture.

pete

When necessary, I shrink my pics in 'Paint' - found in Windows 'Accessories'.

Centurion, I see 2 pictures, and 4 dredded red Xs.

Hi Gina.    But if you click your mouse on the red "x", you get a pic.   Not sure why some came out and others didn't.   (They aren't "x" rated.   Really).
I have tons of pics that were too large to post.   I'll eventually get this figured out.   Thanks for all the help folks.

Dave for windows xp service pack 3 and windows 7 just not sure if Microsoft has it for other windows version.

On there site look for image resizer -power tools .
It installs quick and will resize picture with 1 click in a matter of seconds with a simple right click on your pics.

Cecil once posted this option.

Yes Martin,

Here is a link to it for XP

Its free, look for image re-sizer in the tool.
