Just for fun

If you hadn't ever tasted any variety of figs. Going by looks only. Which variety do you think would taste the best? I've never tasted Brooklyn White, but for some reason I've always thought it just has to taste great. Looking forward to your responses.

Rond de Bordeaux of course. Just the looks.
Pastillier was my second choie by the looks.
And Parissien was the third....

But now, going by the book, I am looking for one that looks like the one in the picture.
It is red interior and deep green exterior which stays green even after ripening. The book calls it Verdal (and it is not Verdale, Verdal Lougue, green Ischia..). I like it for its looks (almost like a mini watermelon !!).

What variant was the image of looks delicious?

If I had to go on looks I would pick green ischia, RDB.

Two words. Black Madeira.

Mine would be "Tean Bin Kalb".

Ok Ok, all jokes aside.

It will be "Cendrosa". Makes my mouth water everytime I look at it.

It is just for fun. The fruit varieties in the website may be available in US but may be under different names and the owner just naming them with their own descriptive names. Time will tell when over time fig enthusiast continue hunting their neighbourhood for uncommon varieties and come acroos these..

Sunfire.  (Rescued by Bass).
