Hi Neslon,
they are 1 to 1 and1/2 above the water line and staying wet as of yesterday because i took the air pump off the cycle timer and let it run 24/7.
There is a good chance they can get mold or like rooting a stick in a vase they may not time will tell. Im hopeing because of the air bubbles they are getting will help them somehow i really dont know. They were dipped in the cloning solution that came with it even though its for fresh cut green shoots but i used it anyhow. I dont have the spray bar on . If they root there is already a half dose fertilzer that came with system in the water to feed the roots that emerge.
Yesterday i put a discarded cut stick previously cut from bottom of a panache scion with no nodes on it about 1 and 1/2 long i had in S Moss pastry container that put out roots and also is in there just to see if the roots will continue to grow im rather curious.
If they mold i will tear down the system and sanitize it and eventually start over and use the timer so they get wet and have time to somewhat dry out and see what happens that way.
My real intentions with this though is to try and root fresh green emerging shoots in the system that are supposed to stay constantly wet that are somewhat small for fun and to see what if anything happens.
I still have that little kids curiosity in me. ; )
Nelson if you have not seen the little stick with no node yet in another thread i posted about it, here it is, when i trimmed it off the scion there was nothing showing on it, i cut this piece off so i could properly position the other part of it in the system with its node near the water line.
Im having a lot of fun and will post good or bad what happens with all of this .
Best Health
