I just finished two days of the CRFG ( california rare fruit growers ) 40th anniversary conference in Fullerton. my last lecture was by jon- on figs. so here I am, thinking about figs. I came up with a lovely name for my favourite-
"crammed in the corner by Tim's house"
guess where it is ? ? crammed in between the concrete walkway and block wall by my neighbor Tim's.
well, I too, want to see the winners of that essay contest, jon !!
and I wanted to write to the guy from Davis who knew how to make amazing fruit wines. WOW !! i wanted to say : can I be your friend too ? but no, I left him alone.
I like lots of fruits, but the thing about figs is I can't buy them. so they are special because I ony get to eat them if I am near a tree that makes good ones.
what ever- just bubbling over with enthusiasm -- and too much fruit sugar from a whole day of fruit tastings ? -- from the conference. hi to any one out there.
