Just killin' me

I am so happy that so many of you have all these beautiful green leaves and cute little fruit buds on the trees. Mine has never ever had fruit on it this quick. Has one time that the fruit comes out and then keeps on producing until late fall. I'm having fig envy... sheesh

lizzie,

some members live an warmer area, and some like i grow things in containers. it's just little faster. i'm sure your trees will get going soon :)

Maybe this will make you feel better. We warmed up in mid February. But for the second year in a row had a severe late freeze. I did save one apricot with blankets and a heat lamp, the green tree.

After last years freeze all I had left to damage was watermelon, bingo.

Omg I would have cried. Just looking at it gives me a nauseous feeling.
Our frost date is 4/15 here
In Miami I used to haul all my bougainvillea and frangipani inside, made it look like a green house.

I'm with you Luise, I'de have sat right there and bawled my eyes out followed by a long imaginative stream of cussing!

tami, not sure about bawling, but i would join you in uttering few choice words :)

Yep, no bawling and minus the imaginative.

Hi! Steve,

What types of the fruit trees are you growing? Your trees are about 24 inches apart. Please let me know if fruit trees can be planted this close. Thank you.

Best,
Tam
