I'm so excited that my 1st ripe fig of Col de Dame Noire can be picked today!

I ordered cuttings of this variety from Monsieur Pierre Baud at the end of Feb this year.

I felt quite nervous before put it into my mouth.

Fortunately, so far it's my "fig of the year", very tasty!
 
 
 
 
 

I heard Baud of France has some great stuff, unfortunately its hard to get plant material into the US, and harder to California.  Thanks for Posting.

What a performance ...from a Feb cutting to a ripe,  exceptional fig in mid November! on a robust and very healthy tree.
