So just saw a friend of the family that I heard had some figs. He had 4 trees, all over 6', 3 different varieties. He said I could clip off what ever I want, he'd be pruning before he put them to bed anyway.

I didn't get greedy. Took enough for 2-8 cuttings off each. He said feel free to come back and take more in spring or start some air layers if I want.

They're all "unknowns."
A green/white that still had sweet figs on it.
A purple fig.
& a large brown one that has distinctly lobed leaves.

I know the feeling, I score some this week also.

It's almost like treasure hunting.  Some great figs to discover.  It was an unknown green fig in a friend's backyard that brought me into the hobby.  Enjoy!

Very cool.  Some of my favorite and best tasting figs are unknowns given to me by friends.
