and they will stay in there for a yr. Niagara Blk, Salce, St. Rita, Persian White, Hative de Argentile, UCD Ischia Black, UCD Barnissotte. I-258. Moscatel Preto, Tacoma Violet, and Nero 600M. 

they didn't have medium/regular perlite.. had to use coarse perlite. not sure what the diff will be. 

funny thing was, USDA/UCD Barnissotte has smallest top growth, but it had most roots. 

 

I'm going right from perlite w/hydro to 5 gallon MG+perlite as soon as we get warm days.

My plants are 2 feet tall already.

tomorrow it's going to cup to 1 gal, and cuttings to cup. need some seedling soils. two bags should do.. and MG perlite. these coarse perlites are just too big.

I opened the garage door today for some fresh air and daylight during a 35-40 degree melty wet snow storm while up potting also. I up-potted 4; two approx 10 gal, two approx 8 gal, and re-potted one to a 3 gal. Used about 15 cu/ft of potting mix, I have to make up another batch. Then I went to work on my Mason Bee house. I still need to move a 10 gal up to a 15-20 gal(not exactly sure on size, need to bust out the tape measure and do some math, big clay pot) and then an 8 gal into the empty 10. Next week I'll start moving some of my cups up too!

Was is your soil mix? Miracle-Gro and perlite? The coarse Perlite will do well.

it's actually modified 5:1:1. i use something called nature's way instead of pine bark fine. it has 50/50 pine back fine and compost.
