A paper bag wouldn't work here right now.  Raining and thundering like crazy!  And I can't blame it on Isaac!  Just some tropical depression off the pacific coast.........  Love the thunder!!  Gets dark, light show is amazing sitting with after dinner wine under the patio cover!

that is a good looking KB, barry.. i had two just like that. i was giving them full time to ripe.. i said one more day.. then went inside to get some drink, and came out after about 20 min. birdies had field day on those two.

i have about 10 more left on the tree and they won't be ready till mid oct.. hopefully birds will leave them for me.  

Pete I hope you get to eat your KBs and I hope I do too. Checked it a little while ago, it is still intact, but I'm thinking it needs a little more time. Dunno how long I will wait, I may just pick it today.

How would you rate KB on productivity and taste? I am considering it next.

Young trees are not very productive, many people on the forum have commented on how long it takes for them to produce, but it is so worth the wait. Taste is excellent, one of the best for sure.

it was pain waiting for it to start putting out the figs. 3 yrs for me. i finally started pinching this year so i can taste some. the early season figs were not very impressive. however, the last few i had had very nice taste to it. tho, not too sure about texture.. it was little "grainy".. might have been the ants i was chewing on. i haven't had enough of it to say if this is as good as one barry has. however, i do have to say my Paradiso Gene improved very nicely since last year. I'm willing to give few more years to KB to impress me.
