That's great! Let us know what you think of the taste. I haven't gotten brebas off my KB, only main crop last year and this.

I had a couple ripe yeasterday and they were super tasty, even as Breba they are superior to other Breba.
But I left mine to ripe till it started shrinking.
Have another three almost ready, and the net is on.

The one on the picture will stay on for few more days until it hangs down nicely. Have 2 more turning color. Main crop figs are still green and hard.

I'll report with full detail with picture when I take this one off :)

How usual is it for fig trees to have more than two months separation between brebas and mains?  It seems the Bordeaux figs have a longer period.  It looks like it will be a two months seperation for me.

this is first yr my trees are giving me breba.. so no clue. but on my Paradiso Gene, breba came in much later than the main crop. and it's getting second set of main crop coming in right now.

Kathleen's Black is also putting up second set of main crops.

i think the hot spring got the main crop started early and second set of main crop is coming in on time or something.

Saw a bird checking out the breba just now. Looks like it has about a week left at least. It's swelling now... maybe I'll wrap it with newspaper.

Rained rather hard yesterday. It's splitting around the eye...

The three Kathleen Black I was talking in post # 3 ,were harvested today.
Like I said before ,very good tasting Breba ,Better than other Breba I tasted  from other breba making cultivars.
Main crop is one notch higher in taste and Flavor as they are the genuine fruits and not flower.
Here is the pix of them ,taken this Morning.

Wow!  Looks great!

I had my first KB breba yesterday. If I rate VdB breba as 5, I would give KB 7. It wasn't fully ripe as Herman's, but it's been raining, and there was spitting around the eye. The taste was more intense than VdB, however, I can't tell exactly what it tasted like. It was definitely sweet. Two more will be ready in few day for another tasting. I might be able to give better report at that time.

The breba looked very much like Herman's.
