What variety do you think these might be?

Best wishes.

Hey Mario. I'm bumping this thread in case you're gonna be on here sometime soon.

Did you ever figure out which one this is? Did any of us see this one ripe when we were at your place in the summer?

EDIT: Post #1 is a photo of unripe Acciano.

This is the same fig tree as in the other thread only its from the year before. There was only three figs on this plant and they got huge when it ripened, and it turned real dark. I called it black paradiso.

Thank you very much for this clarification Mario. This makes me look forward even more to seeing the one you gave me produce fruit. The one fruit I tasted at your place was just great. I'm sure as the tree matures the fruit will be even better :-) !

By the way, this is the fruit that seemed to have a hint of grape flavor to my palate. Sweet, juicey, and very fresh tasting - Black Paradiso is gonna be a winner in my book!

As a side note - I know that Salce one is going to get even better with age as well. Can't wait man!

Mario, you think the reason that Salce sometimes turns dark is because of being exposed to more direct sun?

Sounds great Mario. I look forward to it.

I'll bring some of my figs and the homemade wine :-). I'm pretty sure Sara wants to be there and I hope Dave can make it too.
