There are some really good ideas listed above. Thanks for all the additional ideas.
I went to the Home Depot today and bought a dremel engraver. They said, if I didn't like it, I could bring it back. Tried it out. I didn't really care for it. It was loud, and it didn't look very good to me. I like the gold paint sharpie better.
I also like the Dog tag idea, but it still may be too expensive and I don't want to have to put in a new order everytime I want more tags. And the Snaglpus Ebay tags look good too, just not in the black that I prefer, but I could paint them after I write on them. They were priced very economical. Rafed, I don't remember the tags on your plants. I was probably too busy stuffing my face with your figs or in awe of your collection. Sounds like you're saying they were the same as what Dennis mentions.
Micro chips or RFID are cool, but out of my price range. The other thing I thought was, If I'm really worried about my penmanship, I could use the stamps and use a numbering or code system tied to an excel spreadsheet. Problem there is I have to walk around or have my spreadsheet handy at all times. Oh well, with all your suggestions, I'll figure it out.
Kind Regards.
