Another fig that has impressed me, the Lampeira Branca, ripened its 1st fig today, and it was fantastic. The tree is in a 15 gallon pot, and was started from a cutting a year and a half ago, that I got at the CRFG scion exchange. It is apparently the one from Prusch Park, in San Jose. The young tree has set a large crop, and is quite healthy. The large, lovely, greenish yellow fruit, develop some violet specks as they ripen. The flavor is wonderful and lasting on the palate. Sweet, thin skin, light seed crunch, jammy and with faint hints of berry. I can't wait to try more.
