Lampiera fig

I am looking for Lampiera cuttings.

I have Chico Strawberry for trade. It is a very pretty fig, yellow with a big red ostiole red spreading to the surrounding syconium. Pulp is dark red. It has a sweet peach flavor, quite good and unusual. Main crop only.

Also have Mission from a 50 year old tree and an unknown green fig with dark red center. The green fig had edible fruit in Dec...though not much but it was flavorful!

Sue, I have a Lampiera and there is a good chance I can send cuttings in Fall if you have not got any by then.  My tree came from a scion exchange in San Francisco last year. No need to reciprocate.

Thanks Paully, I'll let you know if I'm unsuccessful this season. I have a couple leads...
Thanks,
Sue

That is so wonderful Paully22 ... "No need to reciprocate"!

Sue,

I don't have what you are looking for but can I buy some of those Chico Strawberry cuttings from you?

Thank you in advance

Yes, you can. I'll contact you privately.
Sue

Yes it is a nice jesture on Paully's part but I would send him a little something anyway. ;-)
Sue

Yes, Sue
I was positively sure that you will reciprocate sometimes somehow. That is what makes it so wonderful hobby here and keeps on going.

O.K.,

I'm passing on dictionary.com

What is RECIPROCATE? I can't even pronounce it.

re-sip-row-kate

basically means "return the gesture"

Or if you don't agree then it could also be RECIPe o PROVOCATION

(Otherwise roughly means responding back in kind)

Jason, Ottawan --- there is a demand for English teachers in Japan, Korea & China. Pay wise by their standards is very good. Thus,
good to consider having a paid holiday. Never know, 2 of my friends kids went to China on such holidays ended married. Just wish you folks
are bachelors. ha ha ha.

Who will sit the baby figs or babysit the figs while we are away!
Nothing is too good to be away for from the figs during the summer. It is not only the fruit but just seeing them grow is a lot of fun and then don't forget about pinching the branches when needed. Also, I am afraid that my plants will be given away to clean-up the lawn for jogging again when I am away. No, I will pass.
My other confusion is how to teach them English in English when they don't know English and I don't know their language.

Will you be surprised that by the time I leave them, most of them may be members of F4F and rooting cuttings!

Sorry Sue, we went on a tangent from the topic. I will make sure to remind paul about Lampiera cuttings.

Ottawan & Jason -- my apologies. Due to my senior age I forgot you guys are true blooded fignuts. Yes, to the figs.

Thats why both my friends kids got hitched, even sign language helps in focusing the frequencies. Actually before my friend
son went, he asked his Dad what he like him to bring home. Dad said "nothing" as he in his 60's. Well, here comes the
bride after a year. That was real funny.

Sorry Sue -- off tangent again.

May I suggest Big Bird and brightly colored alphabet letters to start?

Ottawan:
if you like reciprocate, try LAGNIAPPE on for size!

more of a (way) southern thing!

SV
