large cuttings..........

These are Xinjiangzaohuang cuttings.
too big,but I think ship money will cost more.who want?

I rooted slightly thinner last year, no problem. They are a bot slower to root but more resilient.
Do you have a link to that variety? I cannot tell if it is a know fig from the name.

Larger cuttings have more stored energy thus can survive long enough to root but as stated my take longer. Atleast that's my experience. Now I have to add as well, that I normaly score lightly between the bottem nodes and treat with a rooting agent. The larger cuttings like this that I rooted I did not use that method.

Have rooted things as large as 2".

+1 on this. I have one about 1" thick that I've had rooting nearly 5 weeks now. Took at least 3 weeks to show any roots at all. Its now got some nice thick healthy white roots. It's ready to pot now.
