I have the variety Large Negronne from Jon .
Does anyone know much about this variety and whether it might do well in Zone 5 ?
Does it require more heat than it is likely to find in Zone 5 ?
If it is the same as Violette de Bordeaux , does that do well in Zone 5 ?

Kerry, I am in Zone 5a but my two years old Negronne (not Large Negronne) plant ripened just one fruit late in the season this past summer which is really not enough to reflect on its future performance. It better behave good this coming summer in the Sunny place of honour (beside the south facing wall).

How is the "Large Negronne" different from Negronne?
Has anyone noticed if the size is really bigger if grown side by side or in the same location with the regular Negronne
