Late Season Black Madeira

Surprisingly the Black Madeira was the most productive variety this year. Even out doing the Negronne which I think suffered root damage during the winter and was slow to wake up this spring.  The extra heat from being in the lean to probably helped.

Thanks Tom for taking time to make the video.
You Madeira figs have pretty skin color.
Was it your favorite in flavor this season ?

Definitely the best although a nice dehydrated Ischia Black on the tree is extremely rich, sweet and fig like too. I haven't decided if the Black Madeira dehydrate well or are at their best fresh.

'The gift that keeps on giving'. Love them figs.  :)

Over here in our parts we call this the Black Mission....LOL

Then why do you have Black Madeira on your wish list? ;)

Great video. Very nice figs. :)

They're all still green on the tree.  I don't think I'll get any this year.  I gave them max sun but I think max heat would have been better for them in the lean to.
