Late season figs

OK, now that I have more figs on my tree (yeah!!!), I noticed them popping out on Aug 19, which means this Saturday will be 8 weeks.  In the spring, it took 10 weeks for the first fig to ripen.  How long will it take now since it is cooler?  I am hoping for 10-11 weeks - just in time for my Moms visit the first week of Nov.!!

Your expectations sound about right to me. Let us know if they taste comparable to the first batch. Here it gets pretty cold around now so even if would make it, they taste (a bit) off ripening in the cold.

It was up in the mid 80s today!!!  I am praying for record breaking heat the month - I want more figs!  For Mom too!

We also are having warmer temps than usual now. Almost 90*F yesterday. Mid 80s for the coming week. I also have figs still on my young trees and am hoping many will ripen too. Assuming the critters don't keep eating them.
