Finally rediscovered this site: Fig Tree Revenge

ouch

The chainsaw was a really bad idea.

This summer I had a rash and blisters on my knee.  It lasted a full two weeks, and I thought I had burned myself on the muffler of my pressure washer.  I had no pain or itching, so I started to wonder if I really had been burned.

I'm not sure, but I could have come in contact with fig sap, after doing some work on a few of my trees.  It might have been this reaction, I just don't know.

I get a very minimal rash and some very slight itching. But I had heard of other people that had a much more severe reaction, somewhat equivalent of a 2nd degree burn.

Maybe very slight itching if any at all for me.

What bothers me though when i cut grass in short sleeve shirt and short pants around the evergreen trees as i get the itches on legs and arms when i brush up against them .

Now if i could stop bumping my head or getting poked by the branches of my fig trees that would be a plus.

Don't have a reaction to the fig sap - but then again I don't get poison ivy either.  I do get a slight reddening with Rue sap.  And then there was this one time I sealed my driveway while wearing shorts!!
