LattarOla is different than LattarUla.  Those who have the big O say it's much better than the U.  I have a rooted 2" cutting that hasn't leafed out yet.  I'm hoping!

Well there was a post above mine that prompted me to post this.  Hopefully someone with a big O that's fruited will be able to tell you.

I know Jon has some info on http://figs4fun.com/Varieties.html that i have found invaulible. i only have space for say 35 trees and am wanting around fifteel differant kinds. just wanting to see if there is some first hand growers out there to untangle possible pros vs cons. before i dedicate a plot to it.

I grow it in ground. It's not very hard to root, very productive, hardy, larger figs and tasty.

Dave, it's the easiest rooter of all figs I have tried.  Very cold hardy, sweet figgy taste.  Only knock I can see is it is not quite as productive as say Ronde de bourdeau or the more productive figs.  But as my neighbor said what do you want quality or quantity?  Since I mentioned RDB I think it absolutely blows away rdb in flavor.

Bob, I have a nice size latarolla for you.  Just give me a month or so, got some bad news about my father today, probably won't be online for a while.

LOL, there is no picture even on freakin internet...is this a Ghost Fig?

I will try to post some photos of my Latarolla from this past season. It is very productive. The figs are large and meaty. This was the first year of production and so the flavor of the figs was so-so. But it is definitely not Lattarula and it real potential for small spaces since the tree is very compact and productive for it's size.

I see Edible Landscaping has Lattarula but is there a reliable commercial source for a good strain of Latarolla?
