Nice. Why didnt we think of that. I have a huge azalea tree. Hurricane Katrina blew a huge tree over on. Well it is now a endless source of airlayers. That is the oldest air layering method on this earth! You can even bend the branch into a pot with the rock for an anchor, and it will root there. If it wasn't raining so hard today, I'd go out and do this to a few figs. I have many candidates, and I owe some people, and I have a lot of rocks. I do fear gophers eating the roots, though.
