Leaf problem

So I brought the figs out of the greenhouse and gave them a nice drink. Now a few plants have leaves that are turning over a little and becoming reddish brown on the underside (some are even drying up). Around the same time this started I put on some slow release fertilizer (14-14-14). The fig I left in the greenhouse was given same amount of fertilizer - but shows none of the same signs. So I assume I just over-watered some of them. Or could it be they needed hardened off from the greenhouse. I wasn't heating it a week before I took them out so I figured that was sufficient. Check out the pic and maybe someone can tell me what I did wrong. Is it leaf rust? What do I do, just leave them on our prune them off?

If the fertilizer hit the roots can kill the waTer suppy to leaves.

I'll put in my vote for sun scorch.

I agree - looks like sunburn.

Hi,
Sun and cold scorch for me too.
You should have opened the door of the greenhouse first before getting them out.
At this point, just let it flow, unless you get some temps drop ... in that case I would consider taking them back to the greenhouse or in a sheltered place like near a wall .

Never thought about sunburn. That's got to be it. Smaller plants I put on a table in partial shade. Others I put closer to house with part shade. They all are fine. Just ones put on the patio in direct sun are burnt. Thanks for info. Never thought they'd notice that big of a difference from the greenhouse - it gets so much sun. So now what? Prune off the bad leaves? Or just let them fall off naturally?

The leaves are the solar panels for the tree. Let the leaves fall on their own. Do not panic over the unsightly leaves. Nature does the rest. Trust me, I had quite a few with sun scorch. After several weeks, you won't even notice the problem.
