Hi Everyone, here are some pictures of new plants i just ordered and received last week. they were 4 plants in the shipment. 2 of them are great and made it here well - it seems. 2nd and 3rd pix looks like sun damange. 4th and 5th pix looks like it's wilting. i would do what cecil said above. i heard too much water or too little will both look same, sort of drooping/wilting look. 4th and 5th looks like that. pete __________________ Pete Durham, NC Zone 7b "don't talk to me about naval tradition. Thank you for the comments I had them in the shade for the first 3 days and then i placed them under the sun thinking they were fine and made the transition smoothly. The two with the bad leafs where received like that, only 24hrs after they were shipped (although i had been using some fertilizer and i am watering them daily as its very hot). the vendor had told me that they can go under full sun as i think he was doing prior to shipment eli __________________ wish list: Florea Nordland Tacoma Violet LaRadek's English Brown Turkey

sorry - the plants were received at my place july 6th - so 2 weeks ago they had been in full sun, 30+ c for 9 days now you still think they need going back for additional shade? if so, how long? __________________ wish list: Florea Nordland Tacoma Violet LaRadek's English Brown Turkey

try putting the plants where it will get partial sun. after i repotted my trees, i placed the tress under the shade for two full weeks then placed them on north east side of my house where they get about 4hrs of morning sun, then another 3 hrs of evening sun. this way, it will not get afternoon sun which suck the moisture out of leave, or cause sun damage. after about 2 weeks of that i put the tress in full sun. also try to see if the soil is too wet or not. at 30 + C, i'm sure soil should be getting dried quickly, but if it's retaining water and you are giving more water everyday, it might damage the root. my soil more or less drains in a day. so i know i have to water everyday. pete __________________ Pete Durham, NC Zone 7b "don't talk to me about naval tradition. From my own experiences. First off dont worry about those leaves . You mention this sorry - the plants were received at my place july 6th - so 2 weeks ago they had been in full sun, 30+ c for 9 days now Unless i read post wrong - So you had them in full sun for 9 days ? What im trying to say if you had them in full sun for 9 days and they could not handle it you would be talking about how there dead. After second day they would have no longer been standing erect. If thats the case leave them in full sun.

yes martin - you read it right after the first 2-3 days, once i saw they were doing well (except those bad leafs which were shipped to me in this shape), i placed them in full sun for well over a week.... they seem fine otherwise and even grew some small fruits - which i had removed few days ago, having read some of the other feedback given to others perfect then - i wont worry about the bad burned leafs thank you all __________________ wish list: Florea Nordland Tacoma Violet LaRadek's English Brown Turkey

Hello Eli, I don't know if it makes any difference or not, but as long as a baby fig tree has undamaged leaves, I will take the damaged ones off like the bad ones at the bottom of the 2nd photo. I play it by ear and remove damaged leaves as new ones grow. It's never hurt the trees and I figure that damaged leaves might sap the strength of a young tree if they're not working right. Of course, I would not take off too many leaves, just the worst of them. Good luck with those babies, noss __________________ noss/a.k.a.
