Lebanese Fig

Jon,
I see on your list that the Lebanese fig I sent you was loaded with Figs. Was it a late variety for you?
I grew mine in a container in the greenhouse, and it was loaded with fruit. I was picking a dozen or so daily. The roots were penetrated into the ground I had to cut it down. Unfortunately it never survived and I didn't save any cuttings. I'm glad you still have it.

Bass,

That was the picture last November. It made a ton of fruit (50 or so on a 28" tree). They did start ripening in January, when it was warm. Seemed to be potentially quite good, but will need to ripen in summer, not winter. It still has a few fruit on it.

I think I still have a small plant, if you want one.

Jon,
This tree is the variety Lebanese Shtawi. Shtawi means Wintery in Arabic, that's because they ripen in winter.
I got 2 cuttings from Lebanon that were unlabeled 1 was Shtawi, and the other was unnamed. This is a photo of the fig that I lost, I think that's the other variety than the one you have.
