I picked 4 Latarollas today, but unfortunately one was filled with ants. Oh and an Aubiqua Petite, lost about 5 to the birds, glad they saved me one. I must say the light outshines the dark today, for shear volume of course and also taste. Latarolla tastes much better if it is dead ripe as is the case for most figs.

Well Barry, at least you got to taste a few. Mine are long gone! Hot here in the desert. Harvest is waaay over!Suzi
this year, the light tasted much better than the dark for me. i'll have to wait till Kathleen's Black ages a little along with White Greek to say the final word on them.. then again.. by this time next year, i'll have some good varieties to add to it. with figs, i'm always waiting.. and when the season comes, it's seems to be so short. good thing i have more figs hanging on the trees. :)
Barry,Those Latarollas look awesome!Suzi,Have all your plants stopped forming fruit already?
Yeah Suzi, really? I'm in the finished all the brebas and earlies and waiting for the main crop mode. Is it your heat (but Ruben and I are in Texas for goodness sake) or do you start so much earlier? You really are looking forward to moving and I hope you find your own little Eden.
Alexis if you are talking about me i am 6.6 and no so little. Just kidding.BLB your Latarollas look awesome!
Barry,I think you took a shot on Martins arm. LOLI can't believe he has not responded,,,,,,,,,yet;-)
Thanks everyone for the kind words, but I have to give Ed the credit for this one. He said I would like it and boy do I!. It is very fruitful for such a young tree and it grows very fast. It's a winner!
