Light Vs Dark

Martin, we know where you stand!  Me, I just think all figs of all colors and flavors have merit!  The best one I currently own, and it's 4 years old, is VdB!  Delish!  But I look forward to the gold ones and the greenies with the red centers.  Not sure what white means.  Green out, white in?

I do like variety, and I love the platter of varieties of all the figs available!

Suzi

dark red pulp. doesn't matter if it's light or dark outside. of course, even if they don't have dark red pulp, as long as they taste good. i'll keep them.

Ditto Pete but im partial to dark at the moment I need to be convinced otherwise any help hint hint wink wink would be greatfully appreciated.

At the moment I lean toward the dark ones. I have a number of the alleged good white ones but no fruit yet. Just have
to wait and see until hopefully next spring/summer.

My young Negronne ( VDB) had 2 ripe figs on it and they were very good. I imagine as the tree gets more mature they will be even better!! I tend toward the dark , but only have a few varieties so far . Right now the the red /purple interiors are most enticing for me. Oh lets face it, I wanna try as many as I can !! LOL !!

I tend to prefer the dark varieties as well.  That said, I do recommend Verte, Hunt and Hollier as very good figs here.

Eric
