Little known varieties in the F4F database

I am starting to think about the big fig cutting distribution that Jon does each year.  Last year as a raw rookie I was able to get several nice varieties of cuttings from Jon (not my first choices, most of them, but good varieties).  So in anticipation, I started looking over last year's cutting list to get some plans for this season's requests.  I know that he will not likely be sending all of the same varieties, but there were an awful lot to choose from, and some will probably be repeated.

Anyway, this post is to ask if anyone has info on any of the varieties listed below.  For many of these varieties which were offered last year, there is nothing other than a name listed, or a name and a leaf or fig photo in the database, and I am thinking of ordering some of these little known types just for fun and experimentation in my locale.  What I am looking for is any info, any experience, any knowledge of pollination requirement that could help me and potentially other forum members know if these are worth ordering, since I suppose others may have ordered these in past years. Most of these have no real details available via the forum search feature either.  The most important info for me would be knowledge of a variety requiring pollination, since global warming has not brought the fig wasp to PA yet.

This listing is of those that somehow caught my attention with their name or by limited info available.  I will not be surprised if many of these elicit no response, but it is worth a try.  If someone else has varieties from that list they want to ask about as well, why not add them on this post too!

Here are the varieties from last year's cutting distribution that I am looking for any details about:

Ed ,
I have Large Negronne from Jon.
For me here in NH it has been larger fruit and better tasting than my Violette de Bordeaux.
Average vigor and very good production , my plant is 6 years old.
Don't know anything about its history.

Kerry, does it have a different ripening time than VdB?

Mediterranean is a favorite of someone from one of the Ca rare fruit growers chapters.  1 endorsement from one person and I don't know what other figs he's tried.

Azmenian is probably a typo from Armenian.  You'd have to ask Jon to be sure.

The Jose figs are unknowns found growing by one of our members who was living just South of Albuquerque.  I haven't seen any reports of the fruit.

I have louisiana purple and gold & black

I assume that Greer is the Greer Farm Celeste:

Leaf looks like it:

Calvin ,
The last couple of years Large Negronne has ripened before my VDB by a week or sometimes more.
Of course a better comparison would be if I had 10 of each variety to observe , but I only have one of each.

I have read that the Negronne has a slightly thicker skin? I lost my Negronne last winter and thought it would be OK to just have VdB. Oh no. Now it's looking like I'll have to replace it. Here we go, into mid-Winter FigMania!

Thanks to those who responded.
I guess we will all have to wing it on some of these varieties
I think Jose works out of the country now.
And the 'Louisiana Purple' is listed differently than the LSU Purple, LSU Gold etc in the F4F database.
