Mary sent me her cell number a couple of months ago and I just left her a voice mail and suggested she get in touch with me so that she might join the forum and discuss her event.  She also has a lot of classes on growing figs, I see.

The Italian Garden Project is a great effort to preserve a little immigrant culture, and for Italians what better way than through food? I wish I were close enough to participate in Pittsburgh, but there are plenty of Italians over this way. Maybe we can start a local chapter.

A while back you commented on my post asking about the best potting mix. You mentioned you are 25-30 miles NE of pittsburgh. I'm in new kensington - so I'm guessing we are close. I'm new at this and just recently got some new figs (but right now I only have seven varieties). If you're every looking to get rid of some extras I'd be interested. Thanks..Tony
