Long Yellow main

Pure honey in a large package!
Very sweet, needs lots of heat and water. The tree is in a pot and quite productive.
It is nice that all of those large figs are evenly ripe.

On the plate, the smaller dark figs are MBVS, the larger one is Paradiso Gene (very nice and sweet ) , compared to the LY.
The medium dark red on the right side is a Strawberry Verte.

Hi greenfig,
Congrats!

Those look wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

Nice Igor! You must be coming into primetime production.

Thank you, jd, Mara, and Gary!
In terms of taste, this year is the best because the trees are getting older (3 and more).
I am also learning when to pick up the figs as well :)

Delicious looking fig plate!

They look great!   Congratulations!

Igor,
Very nice
this is great selection of delicious figs

My Long Yellow produced 3 large figs, they were OK, they needed lots of sun/heat to be good. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Thank you, all!

Armando, yes, it needs a lot of heat to properly ripen, I mentioned that.
My 4 year old tree has about 40 large figs this year (in a container). I covered it with a bird netting to protect from critters, hopefully I will eat all of them :)
The fully ripe figs taste like pure honey, a day or two prior they still taste very sweet.

Yes, they need a lot of heat. Mine have always had at least a hint of pink in the flesh.
