don't know how to transfer pics I previously posted but look up my Cucumber breba, I think it's longer

This is a main crop fig.

Not ripe?

First time for this plant or for this variety in your fig forest?

It could have used a couple more days, but didn't want to chance losing it, since was the first one.

This is supposed to be Celeste from Belleclare.

So how did it taste?  It looks somewhat similar to other Celestes in your varieties photo album.

That's a long neck, it does look like a Celeste.

I've never seen a Celeste with an eye that large or a neck and stem that long. Cool looking fig though.

It has a Celeste likeness but definitely an open eye and way long stem...

If it turns out to be a Celeste, it will definitely be unique. We'll see where it goes from here.

Cool looking fig.  It does have that characteristic subtle ribbing appearance.  It'll be interesting to see if future figs from that tree have the same elongated shape (or if that's just an individual variation in that particular specimen).

Mike

Does resemble Celeste perhaps an anomaly this season with its long stem until your tree adjust as you mention first time fruiting.

From Jon's Celeste photos.  It just doesn't seem out of range to me.  What am I missing?

Perhaps missing are more dark types.

For Martin, more of Jon's Celeste photos

Bob, Some of those last photos are of a Brown Turkey that was labeled "Celeste". The "long-necked" photos are some what atypical - but also far shorter (maybe half as long) than these two figs have been.

Second fig ripened yesterday, and looks more characteristically "Celeste" in color, has a Celeste taste, but still has the Very long neck, and very long stem.

Jon,

While we are using the word "Long",
How "Long" before this fig becomes available? Rafed needs to know.

Hopefully it won't be a long time. Don't like to wait too long.

So long,,,

Long is relative. Maybe some wood next season?

Not long at all Jon,

It will be on my list to get for next season. Unless you want to go ahead and put me down now? Unless you have an extra somewhere in that jungle of yours?
