One of my best figs. Solid, rich, large, and very productive this year. No brebas this season.

Dinner was figs. Had a few LdA + many others and some to share with my fig eating pet dog. LdA was good, so was Salem Dark & juicy Tena.

Good for you Paully! ..and for fido too. My golden loves figs as well. LdA has gotten better over time. It's becoming a large in ground tree but one raccoon has found more interest in it than I'd like...more later.

So what's the deal - are they mid-September figs? I post my LDA photo last night and you two had yours today. I don't recall the variety being talked about in the past couple of months.

The figs look nice.!!!
@Harvey
From my reading they fruit about the same time as brown turkey. Brebas and main.

Out of all the varieties I have, this is one I have multiples of, to ensure I get figs in a year or two. Can't wait to try these.

HarveyC, My first LDA ripened on 8-30 and I ate the last two yesterday. Mine is not a large tree yet and only produced around 30 figs - but they were excellent. I'm going to add 2 more to my collection.

Guys, It is a variety relevant thread but probably not a very proper question ... The LDA has been in my wish list for a while and I even thought I would get one on two different occasions that hasn't came up true. Can anybody share some cuttings of the LDA (or small rooted or whatever) now or later? I would pay a fare price and S&H. Thank you in advance! Please let me know.

Thanks, Mike, for the ripening dates. Igor, remind me in January. Also, remember to visit that guy down there when it comes time to prune. :)

Thank you for the feedback, Leon. I never tire of saying that Longue d'Aout is one of the "must have" varieties. It is outstanding.
