Longue d'Aout Fig, god fig in cold climate?

Hello

I have recently bought a fig variety called 'Longue d'Aout ', I have read thats its hardy to -15C (5F).

Its there anyone here that have experience of this fig in colder climate/oceanic climate ?  (7 and colder). Does it ripe early in summer cool area?
Is it a overall god fig ?

Maybe I will take some cuttings and try in ground also, but at first i will probably take it indoors in winter.

Thanks

my climate is mild, so I can't opine about Longue d'Aout hardiness.
It is an excellent fig in my opinion.

It does well growing in pot culture. In my zone, we have sporadic winter temp. of up to -8*C for up to 6 days in a stretch. Windchills can be -15*C in the nights. Lots depends on the artic outflows. My tree is grown outside & this winter we did see temp. going to -9*C. So far only slight damage to tips. I have 2 other LdA trees grown in pot(for friend), left outside with dirt protection up to mid way of pot & I did not see any damage apart from its tips.

Like Axier said, it is a quality variant. The breba ripens in Aug and main crop mostly around mid Oct. I think my friend had his tree in the greenhouse & it ripens earlier. Main crop is awesome tasting.

Bass has this in his collection.

He would be able to provide further info- He is around zone 6

If he grows it ( probably pot culture), it should be fine in zone 7.

thank

I have zone 6, it got down to -25C in dec. I have here only two varieties in ground here brown turkey and desert king, the both got leaf mulching and came through with dead tips above snow level. At my other place its zone 7 (this winter -23C),  here i have also two variates i ground bornholm and brown turkey. Same outcome as above after the winter.

So maybe this will be a good candidate in ground also?
