Champ was a big dog he used to weigh around 110 lbs, his father was an American Bulldog and mother a Blue Nose Pitbull, my parents still have another pitbull Rocky who is a joker. I own a Boxer now his name is Cyprus and hes a nut case way too active and burns rubber inside my condo knocking over everything in his way.

Heres Cyprus at 3  months

So funny how us mediterranean type  people look so similar in ways, YOu look like my brother Vincenzo (Vinnie) they call him in U.S.  I will have to show him your pic. Very nice picture, what a pretty wife you have and your champ.

Nice looking trio. Didn't realize you were that young---I've got kids older than you! I wish I had been interested in figs at your age. Thanks for posting.

Nelson I'm older than you...

Maggie when I used to work in Italian neighbourhoods they would always speak to me in Italian and I would say im Portuguese and they would be like are you sure lol and then give me food and wine lol oh the good old days.

'Tim I moved to Canada when I was 10 and always liked playing with plants probably because I was around it my whole life and my family would also cultivate fruits for sale like Cherimoya & Banana & Plums also grew apples to my Cider with Alcohol. We had over 15 fig trees in different areas usually in Valleys and in rocky Land due to the fig roots taking over the land and we would not be able to cultivate Vegetables. What really got me into figs however was this wonderfull elderly Italian man Pasquale when I was working at his house and seen how passionate he was about his figs It made me realize how much I missed eating fresh figs and wanted to start my own from cuttings. 5 Years later that Dream came true.

Im Just really happy I have found a great forum with so many people who are passionate about figs one thing we all have in common its great.

Thank you all for the lovely Comments

Nelson

Thanks Remis & Vickie and everyone for all the nice Comments. I will post a pic of the baby when its born ahh cant wait to see that little bundle of joy.

Hey Nelson,

I'm much older than you, And better looking. LOL LOL
Congrats on the baby.
Move over, Cause the babies taken over!

May you have a healthy and blessed child.

Thank you Rafed, lol your too funny.

Nelson, I guessed your age just about right.
Best wishes for the arriving baby and the family. I felt similar apprehension and happiness with our first baby in '71 at about your age. We were afraid that the baby will be very tender requiring the kind of care that we never had any experience for. But after a few days they showed as much resilience as the fig plants.
I also feel like Fatnsassytexan wishing that I had got started with figs at your age and by now I might have found a fig variety that survives outside and ripen figs in Ottawa. Well, we shall see what we can discover in whatever time is available until the current horizon. Best wishes....

Thank you Akram really appreciate it, well now that most of us have similar goals hopefuly we can find you a variety that will grow in ottawa without winter protection.
