Lookin Back at 2013 in Review.....

Great Year, met Jon at Ecanto Farms at the Fig Fiesta. Picked up some great varieties through Forum Members' generosity, a few on Ebay and some reaching over the back alley fence and neighborhood. Made some great friends from all across the USA and International.  Thanks Jon and F4Fun members.

This is a wondeful forum glad I joined last year.

Through the kindness of forum members and a couple buys on ebay from forum members the rooted cutting that I rooted last year made my colletion grow 4 times. Not only that but for my reachout project ARK (A Random act of Kindness) I also received cuttings as donations and bought cuttings which trees where sold and raised almost 3000.00 that went to charities such as the wounded warrier project, children of fallen soldiers, and make a wish foundation.

This year so far I am adding new figs to my collection which once old enought will help with ARK with their cuttings as well as helping expand others collections.

This year was the biggest cutting givaway I was able to do thus far with 67 packs sent. The last of them sent this past weekend.

I'm hoping that next year will be another great figgin year. I am greatful for the older forum members that helped me get a start, and greatful for the newer members that give me a chance to pay it forward.

Guess nobody else has anything to add.

On another note this year I added a sals g to my collection. Thought it was a first year tree and the weather wasn't the best for figs. This fig was the best I had this year. An explosion of taste, and a real keeper for the cooler temps we had this year in the midwest.
