Looking for a cutting of the Celeste Improved fig

Hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone has any cuttings of the Celeste Improved fig, as I don't seem to be having much luck finding one.

I've been looking for something to grow on my balcony after having to give up my garden and move to Minnesota, and this variety seems rather hardy.

Thanks!
Alex

You would probably do better with a Hardy Chicago or Olympian in your climate. Hirts gardens sells them both I think, and they are really cheap. Also, now is about the worst time to  be looking for cuttings.  hehe If you still want it in November, please PM me.

Good to know! I actually bought a Chicago Hardy from Hirts a few years back. It is crazy tough. I grew it outdoors in northern Vermont (zone 3/4), overwintering it by piling lots of leaves and straw on top. I dug it up, potted it, and brought it with me when I moved...but was hoping to find a suitable companion.

I hadn't heard of the Olympian Fig. That looks great!
