Looking for Battaglia in CA

Hey everyone,


I am new to figs but recognize a few of you on here (pitangadiego).  I grew up with a black mission in my yard and LOVE figs in cooking.  I have dabbled in tropicals and LOVE to garden and cook.  

I would really like to find a battaglia fig tree?  Does anyone know where i can find one?

what has your experience been with them?  I am in marin county where we get some heat in the summer.

Welcome to the forum. I do not know where you can find one in CA, nor I have experience growing one . A well known member of this forum (Herman2) has one for sale on ebay.

In my short experience so far, it seems Verte, Battaglia, and  possibly Green Ischia are related or the same. Excellent taste here in MA even for late October.


I have Battaglia from Herman2 and it is excellent!
