Looking for Cuttings - Canada

Hello Everyone,

Looking for the following cuttings:

Black Madiera
Col de Dame Grise
Col de Dame Noire
Col de Dame Blanc

Celeste
Panache

Please help me locate these varieties.

Terrance From Montreal.

Have Celeste and panache but don't feel like dealing with customs officials sorry.

It should not be that bad. To be honest shipping to CA is much
harder than sending to Canada.

Maybe I'll consider it i dont know as of right now.

Your best bet is from these 2 sources

http://www.adrianosfigtrees.com/

If you don't see what you want contact them.  BQ 0ften has a few of something he's growing out but doesn't have enough of to list on his web site.

Contact Joe I know he will be able to help you,he's in Ontario Can

   JCJAcres@sympatico.ca

Sent bq an email however, from my understand lost most of his trees last winter, and I left Adriano a message however,
never got a call back.

Anyone else?

Hi Terrance.
Try Dany at http://www.brugmansia-quebec.com he as great rooted cuttings i got most of my trees from him.

Vincent from south shore of Montreal

Can anyone help with this. I don't want the season to pass me by..
BQ mentioned to me that he lost his trees last winter.
Adriano has never called me back
JCJAcres@sympatico.ca Mentioned he had one of the varities and I never heard from him again.

Is it really this hard?

Kind Regards,

Terrance

Unless you have a greenhouse most of the varieties you listed will struggle to ripen fruit in your climate . They are all top notch figs but not necessarily in Montreal .
There are Canadians that can recommend good varieties for you to grow if you want . Also Adriano doesn't normally answer emails or sell cuttings from my experience .He may return a call if he knows you though .

John

Hello John, The reason I am pursuing high quality trees is to put in my newly built greenhouse
which I also have some citrus trees that do well in.

Kind Regards,

Terrance

Sounds like you're on the right track then . I wish I could help but I don't have any of those varieties anymore .

I live in Pacific north west ( PNW), It is very hard to buy right type of fig cuttings for my area in Canada as well, I tried many US seller and all refused due to customs.

I tried to buy it locally, It might be a scam,  In my black mission fig tree, It has badly faded written label " green fig", It will take me couple years to tell that it is real " black mission".

I will wait until spring time to buy some " black fig trees" from

If you are looking for other high quality variety fig cuttings,  you may try fignuts.ca, He lives near your area.

Hello Ricky,

I really appreciate your input. I am so worried about getting scammed. That is why I am touching base with the
community. My goal is to get good quality genuine cuttings of the exact variety I am looking for. I'm just an
old chap, and I don't want to spend fig years and a considerable amount of time growing the wrong varieties,
caprifig etc.. This would be rather unfortunate.

If the community can help guide me in the right direction, it would be great. I will always be conservative in my
approach.

Several members have already guided you in direction of different sources, in this thread or your previous thread regarding the same issue. Contact Pierre Baud in France and he will be able to fulfill your wish list.
