I am looking to grow a few fig trees in containers on our deck and looking for cuttings for either Desert King, Latarrula, Osborne Prolific. I live in White Rock BC, and have read thee will do okay in Vancouver BC area. I can cover posage if needed. Comments also appreciated if members have other suggestions. Thank you in advance.

if you are starting out, it might be better to just get few trees. it's almost june already and starting cuttings this late up in canada might mean keeping the young plant indoor during the winter to keep the growth going. and there is always of chance of the cutting not surviving the winter. 

with grown tree from any reputable nursery, you will have ready made fig machine that might provide figs, possibly, this year. 

Check out also tropic to tropic in tawassen, one member here bough some trees from him a couple weeks back, he is a good guy and has great plants in my experience.
