Paul, did you get the cuttings I sent to you? I know the mailing address was right, you sent the self address envelope. I never heard anything back from you.
Good luck with your greenhouse

Paul you wouldn't have a picture of it, or a link to it would you? I don't think I've ever seen something listed as an indoor green house.

Gene, I have a small indoor greenhouse  --  its a large aquarium. I used it as a rooting/growing chamber fitted with grow light and a small tub of water with an aquarium water heater to create  humidity. It works great.

Paully, that's what I call a great idea. Maybe I'll try some cuttings earlier than normal. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for adding the picture Paul. I'll have to check that out.

Paully, I had my hands on a 100 gallon aquarium last year and could not find a use for it. Now I know.

Gene,

I can use that 100gl tank as an Eco/Bio Filter for a much larger salt water tank.
Sure miss those triggers!

I'm using a plastic tote box for my cuttings and have it covered ( small vent ) most of the time.
Seems to be doing well.

I purchased one of these from Lowes last year. Under $40. I have it in my basement. Works really well too.

What kind of lighting does anyone suggest for a small greenhouse like that?

Rafed, the 100 gal. tank was a missed opportunity for sure. I'm currently using clear storage containers too. I have one in the normal position with the lid on as a starter box and when the plants get too tall I have another one that I have standing on end that allows me to put taller plants in. I have a couple of your negronnes outside fending for themselves. I bring them in if the temps go below 40. They get a few hours of sun daily and look good.

Gene,

Never crossed my mind to put the tote box on a standing position for those taller starter plants.

I will do that in the morning.

Thanks,

I've used two lights and timer like this one last winter for my cuttings.
Lights from WalMart and timer from Home Depot. I don't remember exactly how much I spent. Something around $35 all together. Served me well all winter. Used them approximately 15 hours a day with 30 min. breaks to prevent overheating. Bulbs are T8, 32w type.

I got my aquariums free. Every now & then you can find them on Craig's list or from localised newspapers citing free stuffs especially when people move. I have rooted lots of cuttings in those aquariums. Go for the big ones. Small ones are not practical.

Y'all got me to thinking that Elvis, my kingsnake, may be looking for a new home. ;)
