i had few good cuttings from a very generous forum member, but i lost them all.anyone have these domestically? looking for fresh cutting taken right before shipping. maybe we can arrange a trade or something.
I have Paradiso Bronze. Is it different than Dusan's?
i believe they are the same. however, Dusan's Paradiso Bronze supposedly produce higher than normal number of "twins". i have Paradiso Bronze VS... i'm pretty sure... i mislabeled Paradiso Nero and Paradiso Bronze, but there are about 6 one gal marked Paradiso. i'm betting at least one is bronze and some are nero... i think.
Getting a little late for dormant cuttings. Most of my figs have leaves approaching saucer size. I have a Dusan I could take a green cutting from next month and root. Probably be three months before I could have it ready to ship if all goes okay.. Let me know this time next month if you haven't found one.Jake
Pete,I have one, I just needed to make sure mine is the Dusan strain before I posted on it.Mine has not fruited but should this year since it is going on its' 3rd now. But had to trim it this season. The source has confirmed it is the one that produces the twin fruit.I will keep you posted.
Pete, Paradiso Dusan is good but not something you would miss terribly. Aubique Petite, Moscatel Preto,RdB, VdB, Dark Portuguese, Enrico, Vincenzo, Barbillone, Nardi Blk, Hardy Chicago etc are better tasting -- at least in my zone.
paul, just to complete the collection :) Paradiso Gene taste great here. i do have nero and bronze. haven't given me good figs yet. will see what happens in next two yrs. Dusan's and Acciano will complete what i want with Paradiso along with Giovanni's.
