looking for Noire de Caromb (Baud) cuttings.

so my precious Noire de Caromb cutting died. root it still there, so i'm keeping it moist, but the top is starting to dry out, the cutting itself. so i know it won't come back.

anyone has NdC Baud cuttings available? i'll pay for it (within reason) since if you have NdC, chances are you are not going to need anything i have :)

rooted plant acquired from old time member who has been very generous to me before :)  thanks all.

Me too!

In spite of obtaining a bunch of NdC cuttings and after giving more than 1/2 of them to other FF members; mine all failed to root successfully.
Some rooted and looked promising for a short while; but then they slowly fizzled away and away towards fig-heaven ...)
Must be a hard to propagate kind of a beautiful fig!

Pete,George pm me in the fall.

if you are in Canada I know that Brugmansia Quebec has the Noire de Carombe and I know the original source and it is a couple of kilometers from Baud and this is a 100% Noire de Carombe.

I received a single cutting this year. It rooted easily, but failed to make the transition to the container.

Thank you Marius.

thanks marius :)

What does baud mean? I picked up a starter plant from brugmansia and it is doing well. I probably will not have cuttings for a year to share, but why is the mention to baud so important? The Montreal fig was really specific on this.

John

baud is a well known french nurseryman. fig is one of his specialty. plants from his collection are desirable.

the full name of Baud is Pierre Baud. He is a respected and well know grower in Europe. He has written books on the topic of figs and if you are to get something from his collection you can be pretty much sure you got the real variety and not some potential mistake.
