I'm fairly new to Figs4Fun, and am mainly interested in finding out which five or six fig varieties would work best in Tucson, Arizona, where I live. I have contacted the AZ Chapter of CRFG (both Phoenix and Tucson groups), local university extensions, and local nurseries, without finding ANYONE with extensive PERSONAL experience growing multiple varieties of figs in Tucson, or even Phoenix (although I've found several kind, enthusiastic souls who are happy to look the topic up for me in a book). The one variety I know works well here is black mission (I have one), and the one variety I know doesn't work well is brown Turkey (I have one--the fruit sours). Does anybody on this forum live in Tucson, or know anybody who lives in Tucson (or Phoenix) with personal experience growing multiple varieties of figs? If so, I would really appreciate hearing from you!!! Thanks!
